Cialis (Tadalafil) is an oral therapy for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men (e.g., impotence). Cialis works in as quickly as 30 minutes and lasts for about 36 hours. With the comparison of Viagra its working much longer, Viagra effect lasts up to 5 hours only. Besides, according to the scientific results, Cialis is not affected by food or beverages.
Indications
Cialis is an oral therapy for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men (eg, impotence) and some other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Drug Dosage Regimen
Take Cialis no more than once a day. You should use Cialis exactly as your doctor prescribes. For most men, the recommended starting Cialis dose is 10 mg.
Drug Class of Cialis and its Mechanism
Cialis is a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor and it works by helping to flow the blood into the penis to achieve and continue an erection during sexual stimulation.
If you miss a dose
Take Cialis as soon as you remember if you miss a dose. Continue to use it as directed by your doctor.
Storage Instructions
Store Cialis at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C).
Special Warnings
It is not recommended to use Cialis if:
- you are allergic to any ingredient in Cialis;
- you have been told by your health care provider not to participate in sexual activity because of certain heart or health problems;
- you are taking or using any type of nitroglycerin (eg, under the tongue, capsule, tablet, spray, patch, ointment, paste) or other nitrates (eg, isosorbide), or recreational drugs (”poppers”) containing amyl or butyl nitrate.
Call your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.
Side Effects
Usual side effects with Cialis are headache, indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, flushing, and stuffy or runny nose. After a few hours these side effects usually go away.
After taking Cialis patients who get back pain and muscle aches usually get it 12 to 24 hours. Within 48 hours back pain and muscle aches usually go away by themselves. If you get a side effect that bothers you or one that will not go away contact your doctor.
Notes
For Cialis to work sexual stimulation is required. Without sexual stimulation you will not get an erection just by taking Generic Cialis.
